We really liked the one day cruise around Lan Ha and Ha Long Bay. We were in a group of 16 people (tour has capacity for 38) which was a good number. We had Ben as our guide who spoke great English and was very energetic. The boat was comfortable and the views were amazing and we felt the itinerary was well done. We often were at sites well before other boats and so we got to the enjoy them on our own. Very generous seafood lunch if a little bland.

We did the 2D1N boat tour. Well organized, the staff in the office is very attentive and follow up on bus services for before and after your tour. Also the staff on the boat is friendly and well prepared. They navigate to places that have almost no other tourist boats. The value for the price is very good. There were mostly couples on our boat, no solo travelers. It is no luxury boat, there is no entertainment after 7 pm (music or lights) and you eat at a long table together with the other passengers, but good for travellers who want to explore the halong bay surrounding avoiding the bigger tourist boats.

Enjoyed our time on the 2D / 1N activity with Tony as our tour guide. He was able to give us a lot of background and historical information on the sites, which we appreciated. The area was beautiful, even on an overcast day, and all the food provided was delicious. We had smooth transitions during our travel from Hanoi (bus to ferry boat to big bus to small bus to boat) and always knew what was going on and where to go. We appreciated that there were only 15 total in our group, and that the majority of our trip we didn’t see hardly anyone (in comparison to one boat we saw that had 60+ hop out to look at a beach). This isn’t a luxury cruise by any means, but definitely recommended for the adventurous explorer.

I have done a day tour organized by Cat Ba ventures and overall it was absolutely fantastic There were reasonable number of people on the boat and the route that they took was really chill and not busy. Next to that our tour guide Jake was really nice and with a good English. The lunch was great and overall the tour exceeded my expectations.

This tour was absolutely amazing from the get go! Everything was so smooth and felt like a very private personal tour, we were completely alone majority of the day which is amazing if you want to avoid the crowds. The views were out of this world and the kayaking was one of the best activities we have done on our SE Asia travels so far. But the most amazing part was our incredible host Hang. He was just amazing! So knowledgeable about the island and its history. He was also a real entertainer, making the group laugh the whole day and giving us an amazing little magic show. A super bonus was the critically endangered monkeys he helped us spot (both species!) we felt really lucky. Thank you Hang you really made this tour much more special for us!
